Welcome to the Life of Iron Challenge! You are on a quest to collect a series of objects hidden within the Virtual Steelworks. As each object is collected it will reveal some information about the iron and steelmaking processes, which will help you answer the questions in the following quiz and collect your certificate of achievement.
There are two levels to choose from:
- Easy: suitable for high school/non-technical, and
- Difficult: suitable for users with some technical background.
In each case, the Challenge can be run with or without an introductory and closing animation sequence by clicking on the relevant picture. It is recommended to run the animation the first time you enter the Challenge. If this is the first time you have used the Virtual Steelworks, you will need to download the True2Life viewer when prompted to do so.
Your progress through the Life of Iron Challenge will be recorded using cookies on your computer. If you wish to stop the game before you reach the end, you will be given the option to start again at this location or start at the beginning when you next launch the game.
